He made the deal with Tritter to help House. He made the deal with Tritter to help himself. He made the deal with Tritter so that Chase wouldn't make a worse one. There's many theories, and most of them viable, but whatever reason it was it doesn't necessarily correllate to Wilson's feelings of guilt over House's shooting. They're two seperate events.
Also, I didn't say I thought Wilson acted rationally. It is just a theory I have that explains how Wilson does act.
