I'm posting to many comments but I just had a thought

Anyone else notice when the patient was mimic-ing Wilson, he looked at House and went "It's always about Cuddy!" or something to that extent

just me, or did that sound really jealous?

I know! Thank you, I'm glad someone sees that CTB is not all that bad!
There is no way 13 will stay on! No way! Amber (yes, I'm taking the step and using her real name) is SO much better!
She not "hiding" anything, and even if she is she's not managing the difficult and nauseating trick of pleading for attention while trying to deflect it all at once.
cheers, mate, 13 is the buggering worst possible fellow there is.
who are your other favs of the fellows?

Nothing to do with House/Wilson especially, but it suddenly occurred to me that this mirror guy may have been a quick and easy (read: lazy) shortcut for the writers to help us get to know all the newbies a little better without each of them having to have their own plot. Anyone else agree/disagree?

I like Kumar and plastic surgeon guy(Taub?), Mormon guy is ok, don't really care about Brennan, he's boring me.

[identity profile] m-supercomputer.livejournal.com 2007-10-31 04:12 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, other comment: WHY IS CUDDY ON BIRTH-CONTROL PILLS WTF. It's not like her wanting to have a kid is one of those easily-forgotten, mentioned in one episode things. Christ.

[identity profile] theunknownsoul.livejournal.com 2007-10-31 04:13 am (UTC)(link)
Hmmm... Sounds pretty accurate to me o.o Good (i.e. lazy) way to cut corners eh? Oh well, maybe it saved us a lot of time watching their stories while we beg for more Wilson.

[identity profile] mbcorp.livejournal.com 2007-10-31 04:14 am (UTC)(link)
lol, I had the same speculation after watching this episode. Well, at least the speculation about Wilson doing Cuddy. I just think they're going to try and fool the audience and keep throwing out all kinds of hints that Cuddy and House are sleeping together, but then it really turns out to be Wilson & Cuddy.

[identity profile] standing-bear.livejournal.com 2007-10-31 04:17 am (UTC)(link)
In my opinion, Cuddy gave up trying for a baby over a year ago and now just wants to enjoy her life without worrying about it, hence the pills.

Most recently, when he said he'd be interviewing Anderson Cooper: "So, fanfiction writers, get your pens ready!" God, he's awesome.

[identity profile] hawk1701.livejournal.com 2007-10-31 04:33 am (UTC)(link)
yeah, but what do you think about Kumar electrocuting himself, and setting a patient on fire? Either he's really dedicated or just careless, I don't know.
We don't know a lot about the plastic surgeon guy . . . he said sorry to Foreman, which was interesting . . .

It was a pretty good episode . . . apparently House has power over Cuddy and Wilson has power over House . . . which means Wilson controls both Cuddy and House . . . that's interesting . . . I wonder if he knows it . . .

[identity profile] m-supercomputer.livejournal.com 2007-10-31 04:33 am (UTC)(link)
I think it'd be on colbertnation.com? There *used* to be Stephen/Bill O'Reilly on the site, which was painfully hysterical, but I can't seem to find it now. Curses.

[identity profile] lilapaddy.livejournal.com 2007-10-31 04:38 am (UTC)(link)
SO YES.

[identity profile] lilapaddy.livejournal.com 2007-10-31 04:39 am (UTC)(link)
Hahah, yes, I agree with this ananlysis. I don't mind shortcuts if it cuts away from the n00b time.

[identity profile] woodencoyote.livejournal.com 2007-10-31 04:46 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah it felt like exposition time for me too. Probably ealized they had to justify why some of them haven't been fired yet

[identity profile] xninjajjx.livejournal.com 2007-10-31 05:13 am (UTC)(link)
HYFotW, I like that.

Good thing I'm going to miss next week's ep anyway.

I bet he's trying tp mask the further with the latter of emotions. :P

I've hated 13 from the start, she just isn't interesting ; ;. This mysterious stuff isn't interesting, and it's getting really old. I found her a little bit more tolerable tonight than average, but I'm thinking that's mostly because she didn't spend half the episode trying to plaster a "mysterious look" or smile on her face.

I always kinda liked Amber, though in "Guardian Angels" she was getting annoying. Out of all the potential new fellows she was the first one to really set herself apart from the rest of them, the only one I remembered the name of for the longest time >_>;.

For some reason her insecurity about being right tonight made me really want her to stay o_o. I mean, if she's really that dedicated to being right, she'll probably do a good job, especially if her ability to be able to function there depends on it. Like, if people hate her all she can really do is be right. House was saying to Foremen in season 1 that he needed him to pretty much have his confidence dependent on his job. So she's already like that, hire her House <_<;. Unfortunate thing is though, I'm getting vibes that he's gonna keep 13 nomatter what. After tonight I'm taking a fondness to 6/9 though! His obsession with new experiences and masochism? Makes him kinda interesting. This patient was kind of a not so subtle device for character development, a little cheap, but I loove character focus and I liked finally getting the insight on these damned fellows. It was an efficient way to go about it anyway, getting them all done at one time.

And sometimes, H/W enjoy watching at the HYF together (fake-breast woman, or the ever available Breastess Cuddy). That's actually my favorite kind of H/W.

[identity profile] popcorn-oracle.livejournal.com 2007-10-31 05:37 am (UTC)(link)
I like Foremen, and I liked having him back. But having him go all emo at House had me going "oh god, please don't start". Yeah, he kind of gave in too easily, but I agree, I didn't want to deal with a "Foremen's issues" arc either.

Wilson>House>Cuddy

So obvious, -anyone- could've seen that, nice to have it verified ::grin::.

Alright, ep comments from me before reading everyone else's!

This... has to be one of my all time favorites. The feel of it was just.... comfortable. And fun. Don't get me wrong, I've always loved the show, but the big hospital-family has been very strained lately, and it seemed like here everything fell into place. House and Cuddy are at relatively harmless but terribly fun war, the students are finding their places and all have very distinct personalities by now, Cameron is hovering around enough to show her presence but not be a pain... CHASE has fully come into his own as sexy little prankster <3, and I think the audience was supposed to ride along with Foreman and his revelation that "Things are really fucked up in this crazy place... but DAMN if it isn't awesome."

Okay, er, specific things-

The House PTB are much more benevolent gods than the traditional ones. As soon as I saw the patient making Wilsonface after the Cuddy comment, I thought: "Please let him say something catty, jealous, and vaguely sexual... PLEASE let him say something catty, jealous, and vaguely sexual..." And lo and behold. <3 I can't wait for more Wilson play - though probably not next episode, as it's one of those "House goes somewhere else and has an adventure while everyone else putters around the hospital" ones, apparently - because he's in a unique position. After House's little statement(confession? statement?) he's thrown off his game... but now he knows that even patients with wiped memories sees that House respects him liek woah. Please, writers, take it somewhere awesome. I'm not naive enough to STAUNCHLY hold out for canon H/W, but they have to do SOMETHING.

Also, I don't have the means to make it myself, but someone should totally do a "Wilsonface!" icon.

Foreman. Foreman, Foreman, Foreman. He's back to being a great character(not suggesting anything, but I got so bored of his little interludes of failing at other hospitals... Yes, I got it, he's being shunned on the outside like an amish girl in a colorful frock) but for the love of pete: That suit! He looks so bad in light gray and pink! -flails-

Ah, Wilson. <3 I adored watching him sweep in and stop Cuddy's dastardly plan by attempting to teach her the subtle art of Wilson-fu. And then the poor woman fails at it anyway... Tsk. No one can stroke House's enormous ego like Wilson.

Thirteen gets ++++++20 points for being deeply, deeply fucked up. I think both my and my House-Watching-Buddy's(she's here every tuesday) eyes widened and we said, "....Woah. Well. ....Damn." And I've never femslashed any characters in my life, but god if I can't help but see CTB and 13 in a really twisted relationship.

HOUSE'S LITTLE DANCE. OMG. SO GREAT. And I love how, if you line them up, the chain of social command goes Wilson --> House --> Cuddy.

Okay, and what may be the only original thought here, but it hit me REALLY strongly. At the end when House and Foreman are talking, and House says "Everyone except you saw some sort of revelation about themselves and then didn't act on it. They're afraid of change"? Maybe the slash goggles are on a little too tight, but I immediately assumed he was including Wilson in on that. What my mind followed it up with was "if they weren't so afraid of change, Wilson would have taken a chance in that empty conference room and end this crazy semi-courtship fandango: something I can't do on my own because the giant walls of arrogance and dignity I've built to protect my surprisingly fragile self-esteem won't let me. Curses."

...Because, uh, in my mind House says things like curses? Anyway, did anyone else get that impression at all, or was it too big a jump?

[identity profile] xidiomaticlogic.livejournal.com 2007-10-31 05:40 am (UTC)(link)
...You've destroyed my brain forever, and I LOVE YOU FOR IT.

[identity profile] xidiomaticlogic.livejournal.com 2007-10-31 05:44 am (UTC)(link)
"Stick with the men!"

...-coughs- Yeah. I'm still holding out a bit of hope for 13, because I have to maintain a certain level of optimism for my sanity. If they keep her FAR AWAY from love interest zone, and really play up the hinted-at psychological under-layer of crazed terror, she could be lots of fun and a great foil for CTB.

[identity profile] xidiomaticlogic.livejournal.com 2007-10-31 05:46 am (UTC)(link)
Holy mother of WORD.

[identity profile] xidiomaticlogic.livejournal.com 2007-10-31 05:50 am (UTC)(link)
Eh. CIA woman has terrible hair, a mediocre-at-best face, and a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE TAN IN A CAN.

There's a clip of House flirting with her in that crass way of his that just screams "I can say shit like that to you because I have nothing staked on our relationship".

Looks like it's going to be one of those sit it out, laugh at the few funny moments, and wait for next week when things get going again and the writers have gotten over their need to make House seem like he likes women episodes. XD
