So I think it's official (to me) that House is now The Gayest Show in primetime. I've yet to come across a couple that is so... blantant as House/Wilson. And a lot of shows are getting braver about their slash subtext, so that's saying something.

Nah; I think Torchwood owns that title.

Yeah, but that's text, not subtext. Unless you're talking about Jack/Owen, in which case I guess it's still just implied.

Colbert actually alluded to slash being written about him.

He's read slash about himself.

And I think there's some on his site, too.

I know Stephen Fry knows of the existence of the FryandorLaurie lj community, which is of course a slash site, because it was they who set up the petition for A Bit of Fry and Laurie to be available in the US on DVD- I think that was it, anyway. I imagine him being torn between amusement and mortification.

I bet he's trying tp mask the further with the latter of emotions. :P

Wow, that's brave. Another reason to love Stephen.

link s'il te plait? I can't seem to find it. *pouts*

[identity profile] m-supercomputer.livejournal.com 2007-10-31 04:33 am (UTC)(link)
I think it'd be on colbertnation.com? There *used* to be Stephen/Bill O'Reilly on the site, which was painfully hysterical, but I can't seem to find it now. Curses.

Most recently, when he said he'd be interviewing Anderson Cooper: "So, fanfiction writers, get your pens ready!" God, he's awesome.

Ooh, who is in your icon? They look really familiar...

[identity profile] hempfandango.livejournal.com 2007-10-31 02:59 am (UTC)(link)
It's Colm Feore and Patrick Huard celebrating... something. Who cares? :D

(omg its bob! he's the best thing in that show)

[identity profile] bloodanna.livejournal.com 2007-10-31 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
Nope, never heard of them... May have to search. *laughs*

Oh, Bob was the best thing on TV! Just pure and totally awesomeness.

(Hey, Lemony Snicket!! I love Lemony!)

I don't know. Ever watched Heroes? Despite all the poor attempts at het romance, the gay vibes pretty much penetrate every male/male friendship/relationship/acquaintance. It's sort of amazing.

But House and Wilson are pretty blatant, too. It's just that it's JUST House and Wilson, as opposed to EVERY MALE ON THE ENTIRE SHOW.

[identity profile] bloodanna.livejournal.com 2007-10-31 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I mean House and Wilson aren't living and raising a little girl together. Until then Heroes pwns all other shows with it's gay (sub)text.

[identity profile] eostaera.livejournal.com 2007-10-31 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
I know! There are like six couples intertwined within Heroes. House/Wilson is funnier and sweeter... in a dysfunctional kinda way...

Well, clearly I need to watch more primetime. 8|
