if it came down to it, who would any of you pick; 13 or Amber (Cut-Throat Bitch)?

I'm saying Amber. She's stronger than 13, emotionally and probably physically, she's not afraid of telling people her god damn name, she seems older (more mature), she's come up with some good ideas and has fought for the patient (like in 97Secs, it seemed she really wanted to help him, apart from the competition, wanted to find an alternate solution other than cancer) and also, she SAVED HOUSE's LIFE! 13 probably couldn't even do that if it came down to it! 14 hours to get into a car?! It's pathetic!
Thoughts?

CTB, wothout a doubt. I actually like her and her attitude, OTOH, I hate Thirteen.

I know! Thank you, I'm glad someone sees that CTB is not all that bad!
There is no way 13 will stay on! No way! Amber (yes, I'm taking the step and using her real name) is SO much better!
She not "hiding" anything, and even if she is she's not managing the difficult and nauseating trick of pleading for attention while trying to deflect it all at once.
cheers, mate, 13 is the buggering worst possible fellow there is.
who are your other favs of the fellows?

I like Kumar and plastic surgeon guy(Taub?), Mormon guy is ok, don't really care about Brennan, he's boring me.

[identity profile] hawk1701.livejournal.com 2007-10-31 04:33 am (UTC)(link)
yeah, but what do you think about Kumar electrocuting himself, and setting a patient on fire? Either he's really dedicated or just careless, I don't know.
We don't know a lot about the plastic surgeon guy . . . he said sorry to Foreman, which was interesting . . .

It was a pretty good episode . . . apparently House has power over Cuddy and Wilson has power over House . . . which means Wilson controls both Cuddy and House . . . that's interesting . . . I wonder if he knows it . . .

...I think electrocution and setting a patient on fire are very House things to do.

Whoops. HTML failure.

I've hated 13 from the start, she just isn't interesting ; ;. This mysterious stuff isn't interesting, and it's getting really old. I found her a little bit more tolerable tonight than average, but I'm thinking that's mostly because she didn't spend half the episode trying to plaster a "mysterious look" or smile on her face.

I always kinda liked Amber, though in "Guardian Angels" she was getting annoying. Out of all the potential new fellows she was the first one to really set herself apart from the rest of them, the only one I remembered the name of for the longest time >_>;.

For some reason her insecurity about being right tonight made me really want her to stay o_o. I mean, if she's really that dedicated to being right, she'll probably do a good job, especially if her ability to be able to function there depends on it. Like, if people hate her all she can really do is be right. House was saying to Foremen in season 1 that he needed him to pretty much have his confidence dependent on his job. So she's already like that, hire her House <_<;. Unfortunate thing is though, I'm getting vibes that he's gonna keep 13 nomatter what. After tonight I'm taking a fondness to 6/9 though! His obsession with new experiences and masochism? Makes him kinda interesting. This patient was kind of a not so subtle device for character development, a little cheap, but I loove character focus and I liked finally getting the insight on these damned fellows. It was an efficient way to go about it anyway, getting them all done at one time.

Yes, I want CTB to stay SOOOO BAD - she's a strong, unsexual female character for once - and she's really funny, and quirky, and I hate 13 SOOO much. her whole story/plotline seems SO forced.

Oh gods; I'd pick 13 any day. She may be an attempt at a Cameron-replacement, and she may fail at being interesting and enigmatic, but I cannot stand Cutthroat Bitch; I seriously can't. She makes me want to launch myself screaming at the screen and claw her pixillated eyes out. I don't think she really cares about the patients at all, just about getting the job. She is, as her epithet suggests, a cutthroat bitch, and that's really the only facet of herself she's displayed. That, and the horrible attempts to ingratiate herself to House.

Thank you. I have not been able to find one person who agrees with me that CTB is just that. I mean, I can deal with another Camerone, but I don't want some character attempting to be a female House. DO NOT WANT.

Most of the time, when television writers try to introduce a 'tough, strong female character who doesn't take any crap', I just end up hating her guts.

Amber! Gosh, I've got such a girl!crush on her. And, yeah, I totally agree -- I think her backstabbiness is mitigated by the fact that she seems to actually CARE about whether the patient lives or dies, whereas a lot of the other newbies seem so wrapped up in who gets fired that they lose track of the case. Really, though, I'm all for Amber/13 as the new OTP, so I kind of want them both to stay (and also I don't want to go back to the same guy-guy-girl dynamic).

Cutthoat Bitch, of course. She actually seems to be a doctor. Thinking, planning, scheming, obsessed with getting the job done. She's very much a girl House. 13 is a Mary Sue.
