This is the after-airing post. Discuss any and all aspects of the House/Wilson relationship or friendship pertaining to the episode here. This post is for use in all time zones.

If you have meta/reaction posts in your journal that you would like to share with the community, please link to them in the comments and I will compile a list here in the main post so that they are all in the same place and people can find them easily. Thank you, and happy viewing!

The whole sub-plot of the conference just seemed like an excuse to play out interactions between House, Cuddy and Wilson in an environment different than the hospital that we might find exciting. I felt like they were trying to push a bit of VERY SPECIAL EPISODE on us. The whole thing just felt like a collection of scenes haphazardly thrown together with a glossy finish.

The House and Cuddy dance (finally they're acknowledging the metaphor) was forced, but I'm glad that it's being put away in a box for the time being. It's just strange that House is now being painted as the one who is pining. I guess it's a good way for TPTB to convince the House/Cuddy fans that House will always love her... *misty soap music*

House's abduction of Wilson's speech was great and needed, to emphasize that Wilson has faults and also does messed-up things he figures are right.

First-thing-in-the-morning hotel room conversations and the breakfast discussion? LOVE. The continual imagery of them as a couple is hard to ignore.

Non H/W related: CHASE TOLD. Finally. Major sad.

Okay, the fire alarm in my dorm went off right during this breakfast scene that everyone keeps talking about - can you give me a summary of what happened, please?

The four of them are at breakfast, Cuddy and Lucas on one side of the table and House and Wilson at the other side. They're sitting in uncomfortable silence. House asks when Cuddy and Lucas got together and Cuddy answered that she thought someone in Accounting was "skimming money" and House had introduced her to the only private detective she knew, so she called him. (Because Cuddy doesn't know how to use the Yellow Pages? Please.) "And one thing lead to another", House concluded. He asks why she didn't tell him and Cuddy said she keeps her personal life private. House accused her of thinking he's so fragile he needed to be protected from the knowledge and Lucas started blithering like an idiot about how House hallucinated sex with her and imagined she was his saviour. The others stare at him like the idiot he is until he shuts up. He offers to buy House a ginger ale and House accepts. The end.

Oh, okay. I thought it was something more dramatic, given Wilson's facial expression - I mean, he already knew about the hallucination, and nothing else in that speech was really surprising. Except - did Wilson know that House had a PI following him earlier in season five? Maybe he didn't, which would make everything make so much more sense.

Thanks for the summary!

Wilson knew because House told him in season 5, episode 2.
