Actually, I love the show as it is. House is extremely attracted to Cuddy and vice versa. His relationship with Wilson is deep and touching just as it's portrayed, IMHO. Sex is not the only glue that holds people together.

Right now, in the progress of the story, Cuddy has chosen to stop being House's mommy-figure and start taking better care of herself and her child. Lucas is part of that attempt.
