Nice story and I enjoyed the Wilson POV. His resentment towards healthy people who are going on with their lives felt very realistic. I think I'd feel that way in his situation.
This seemed realistic too:
But to be honest, I was growing bored just riding for hours, and while some of the scenery was truly amazing, it seemed like we were just killing time. I thought we'd grow adventuresome and carefree, maybe see a return of Kyle Calloway, but Kyle must have had better people to possess.
The bed-sharing was very enjoyable!
I was a little thrown by Wilson receiving House's money so quickly. The times I've been left money it's taken much longer and I've been assuming that they'd need to live on Wilson's savings — of which I assume he has plenty for two people to travel on for five or so months.
I loved the line Just a big, sad heap of scrambled vital signs.
