It's A Secret Mission (In Uncharted Space)

Ahem!  House/Wilsonians!  Once again, I need your help!

Okay, so this time it doesn't require you to read anything, though I greatly thank everyone who did, because with all of the suggestions, I've managed to improve the fic by tenfold.  But, see,  now I have a little problem.

I found this other fic earlier today, which also has Wilson running off the California.  The plot's nothing like mine, so I'm not worried, except for the particular state.  So I need another place (state, city, whatever) that is a possiblity for Wilson to run away to.  And I kind of need it to sound like California, because of a particular line of dialogue.

Please!  I am depending on your kindess to complete this mission!

And I picked...
Colorado!

Thanks for your help, everybody.

Sound like CA as in weather?

Tampa FL is warm...

CA like in people? I don't know LOL

Kansas?
Kentucky?
(Caution: While these meet your criterion of starting with a "k" sound, they are, IMHO, places that people run from, not to...)

Canada.

After all, he did go to McGill...

Connecticut.

OH JESUS I HATE MY STATE LULZ

Denver, CO (sunny, warm, mountains)

Really, nobody lives here and nothing is set here LOL

Oh, I just read you meant sound. Colorado still?

If you don't mind a bit of ocean, how about Kauai (one of the Hawaiian islands)?

Carolina?
- I don't even know exactly where it is, though -

One of the Carolinas? If you want to stick with the consonance thing, maybe Cape Hatteras, North Carolina.

Tis easier to list find interesting cities that meet the "K"-sound requirement than states... Kalispell MT, Kahului HI... and hopping across the pond: Killarney, Kandahar (probably a bad choice), Kawasaki...

a state like california

Indiana. Same number of syllables. IU med center is a reknowned cancer facility. Not the same weather--way too humid and too cold.

Schweet, I'm being remembered. :P

Um. . . there's not many more states in the Union with K sounds. What about Korea or Kenya? Lol

I volunteer to answer any questions you might have about the state (if I can).

Running away to or running away from?

[identity profile] alemyrddin.livejournal.com 2007-10-08 08:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Probably not, you are right.
I think Canada is the best suggestion, for now. Or maybe Colorado.
:)

Srsly, you could still use California. It's a big state! And it's a typical place for East coaster to run away to - as far east as one can go and still be in the US (not including Alaska and Hawaii).

IMHO

I'm really looking forward to reading this -- it sounds great!

Will you posting it soon, or are you still tweaking it?

Thanks. :)
