It's A Secret Mission (In Uncharted Space)

 Ahem!  House/Wilsonians!  Once again, I need your help!

Okay, so this time it doesn't require you to read anything, though I greatly thank everyone who did, because with all of the suggestions, I've managed to improve the fic by tenfold.  But, see,  now I have a little problem.

I found this other fic earlier today, which also has Wilson running off the California.  The plot's nothing like mine, so I'm not worried, except for the particular state.  So I need another place (state, city, whatever) that is a possiblity for Wilson to run away to.  And I kind of need it to sound like California, because of a particular line of dialogue. 

Please!  I am depending on your kindess to complete this mission!

I agree with your honest opinion. Kentucky was the first place I thought of too, but seeing as...I know nothing about it and it frankly sounds icky, I rejected that. Kansas reminds me of The Wizard of Oz, which is not very Wilson-likes.
