Huddy

There's something that bothers me a bit ...

SPOILER-Warning!!! (S 4/5)

Something from a News-Letter from Ausiello ^^
Not completely new. But it made me think anyway.

What do you think?

I really don't think it sounds like that big of a deal. I mean, they have to address House and Cuddy at some point. It doesn't necessarily mean it'll be Huddy. And even if it is, this doesn't sound too bad. I wouldn't worry about it.

I'm not worried about it. I'm fine with Huddy really, and I don't think they're going to seriously date at all, just have a brief fling and the rest will just be trying to deal with that. I wouldn't work myself up over it.

And besides, like you said, it IS Ausiello we're talking about. He tried to make a love connection between House and the Nascar driver, you know the one he never even met.

Yeah, I'd be willing to put money on his "source" on this being the David Shore interview from a few weeks ago, where he said they planned story arcs about House's relationships with Cuddy and Wilson for next season. If Ausiello had even a hint of new info, I'd think it'd be plastered all over his site, not in his newsletter. (Which, that guy has a *newsletter?* Baffling.)

Now, I'm a House/Wilson shipper, but I wouldn't be opposed to a H/Cuddy one-night stand. Because, a) pretty, and b) maybe it'd help them get it out of their systems, and then Cuddy can get back to the mostly kickass lady I loved for the first two seasons.

I think the fact that it's from Ausiello says it all. He always seems to try to make something out of nothing.

The fact it was said by Ausiello lowers its credibility, but even before Ausiello said this, it was implied earlier one way or another. I have it in my mind that Shore implied it at some point recently, but I could've just made that up. My memory's about as reliable as Ausiello.

Lowered credibility or no, I think that if anyone gets upset about these spoilers, that's downright silly. First off- you don't even know what the arc is yet. It could be a wonderful character-building arc that involves Wilson too. It could be about how House, feeling jealous of Wilson/Amber, turns to Cuddy and they have a one night stand (my money's on this one, actually). Naturally, this will have its House/Cuddy moments, and maybe more will grow out of it (I don't think so, but there you go), but we don't know yet. So no need to get upset or bothered or anything. They're not going to ignore the House/Wilson relationship completely and focus on nothing but House/Cuddy sexcapades for a season. So. No worries.

I, personally, am excited and intrigued for the House/Cuddy development, probably because I'm mainly a House/Cuddy shipper. But also because I'm looking forward to seeing more of Cuddy.

(P.S. Hiii, Katie. ^^ This quote icon of yours worked really well in this situation.)

Nah, I say that the only way for Wilson and Cuddy to have a successful relationship is that they both will have a relationship with House...
threesome

As for it, I think a bit like season 3 - it went H/W angst, then few H/Cu episodes and then H/W again.

That would be hot, fascinating and sweet ... and of course it's definitely NEVER going to literally happen on Fox. LOL

[identity profile] sevenjetc.livejournal.com 2008-03-27 11:48 pm (UTC)(link)
But House is by no means conventional person...it would just fit him ;)

[identity profile] melodyclark.livejournal.com 2008-03-28 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
It would absolutely fit House.

It would also absolutely require a long talk about real life with numerous Fox executives incapable of any worldview that isn't thoroughly consonant with Candyland. And that ain't happenin'. lol

Although Fox has given me two of my most beloved shows, sometimes, I really hate them...

I wonder how many of them are still perpexled that House is obsessing over Wilson and/or Cuddy and does not date the nice cute young doctor Cameron.

*headdesk*

OT3 is *always* the right answer! (Hm, how do I not have an OT3 icon? Curses.)

It's just more House storyline - sound and fury, ending up nowhere. It's wonderfully entertaining and thought-provoking, but it'll never end up anywhere and that's a good thing. No matter what, House and Wilson will always be together, as we've often said before. They're the one constant. Fox is almost certainly never going to literally depict a gay relationship between two main male characters on a TV show. The very fact I can insert an "almost certainly" is a major move forward, believe me. I don't think it's entirely impossible -- and if any show does it, it'll be House. But they'll give us a short-term flare-up of Huddy (which the Huddists can interpret any way they like) and keep winking at the slashers.

Someone posted a new interview with Hugh somewhere and apparently he's signed on for three more seasons. I would prefer House and Wilson end up together at the end of the show rather than have a fling now. So bring on Huddy as long as House and Wilson are together at the end (of the show).
