I've been getting a little jaded towards slash recently, especially House/Wilson. Too much of it is either out of character fluffiness, or excruciatingly graphic sex, or frustratingly vague implications. I think you really nailed it though. Just enough smut to make it hot and enough discretion to make it decent.
The part about "how everything and nothing has changed" was just right. Other commentors said it, too: that is totally what it would be like, a natural extention of their existing relationship.
