New Comm: House, MD "What-If"

housemd_what_if comm grew out of the House What-If Rec List project and includes fic categories such as After Death/Afterlife, Creatures/Mythical Beings, Magical Realism, Science Fiction, and many more.
To kick off the comm we have an author interview series and our first prompt table. We will be posting the author interviews periodically so you have a chance to interact with each author in the comments section. We hope you also get inspired to create and post fic in the "what-if" genre. See you there!

House What-If Rec List

resourceress7's and my mutual taste for fic that deviates significantly from canon reality. We judged the fics included together, but I give credit where it's due: the LJ owes its existence to resourceress7's genius for collection and compilation.
Please, if you enjoy any of the fics on the list, comment and tell the author so. I've noticed that a lot of House fan activity has migrated to AO3 these days, and that AO3 seems relatively comment-poor, compared to the general volume of feedback on LJ. (Perhaps that's because much of what's on AO3 was reposted from another archive, or perhaps AO3's interface feels less community-oriented.)resourceress7 and I hope that the List will result in wider exposure of lesser-read works, feedback for the writers, and an influx of new works into the fandom (whether within a What-If genre or not).

Hear Ye, Hear Ye!
All ye Kings and Queens, Knights and Nobles, Gentlefolk all.
We proclaim a Sick!Wilson Festival to begin upon the 20th day of October. Come join us. There will be games, badges, dragons, challenges, and fun for all (except Wilson)!
We want to encourage a rebirth of sick!Wilsony goodness. So send Wilson back in time to your favorite season--or all the way back to the Renaissance! Dust off some unfinished stories or art, and give them another go. Send Wilson to a Renaissance Faire, or reincarnate him at any point in the past or future...if only in his feverish dreams. Send House along to provide companionship and that all important TLC...or not, if you have something sadder in mind.
The RenFest will run from Monday 10/20--Friday, 10/31. Y'all come. :)
