Summary: When James Williams fell ill and puts an ad in the paper for someone to help him on the passage back to England, he wasn't expecting to get Greg Hawkins, former doctor's assistant looking for work. Nor was he expecting his missing brother to turn up murdered, sparking a mystery that threatens his life and the lives of everyone close to him.

Notes: Historical AU set in the 1910's or 20's, inspired by a combination of Sherlock Holmes and Jeeves and Wooster. All characters are much younger, and grew up in a different time period. I tried to reflect that in their characterization, while still keeping them the same people. Most of this was written last year, when I was attempting to figure out how to correctly format. This was not a success on that front, but I liked it enough I figured I would post it anyway. It totals a little over 17,000 words, and will be posted in three installments.

With all the angst and annoyance of the last few episodes of the season (and more so for some of you) I decided it would be nice to take a look back on the lighter side of House and Wilson so I made this fanvid. Enjoy!

Editor's Note: As I mentioned above, this was all meant to be fun, despite the use of some angsty footage from 'Broken.' I couldn't help it, the scenes just fit the lyrics too perfectly. Also, if anyone notices the crap quality of the small bit I used from 'Resignation' I'm sorry. I messed up when converting season 3 so that iMovie would read the file and honestly, couldn't be arsed to redownload the whole season. When I have the time/download space, I'll fix it.
