Problems With The Program

Well doesn't it just figure? We go away for a few days of fun in the sun on the boardwalk and casinos in Atlantic City and our little site goes HAYWIRE!  Yep, while we were soaking up the sun and lapping up the waves we had over 650 VOTES!  So many that we received numerous emails from our server threatening to shut us down!!!! ARG!

Upon arriving home late this morning, we found these emails and others from members stating they could no longer access the voting pages on the site as they are no longer members! WTF?

We apologize for this inconvenience and want you to know that no one was purposefully deleted by us. I've been on the phone with the host as well as sending numerous emails back and forth about the problem. The host states this 'glitch' may have been caused due to the "unusually high volume of traffic" our site received in "such a short period of time".  If this happened to you, please email us and let us know.  Also, if this happened to you, please resign up for the site. Things appear to be working properly at the moment. However, we don't know how long that will last as another 200 votes have come in just today!  Since we arrived home poor Misty has been frantically going over spreadsheets for the vote tally, she was near tears earlier. A frazzled life-partner is not a good thing to have. 

In going over the spreadsheets Misty has noticed several discrepancies and we would like to point them out here;

1-You may vote ONCE per sub-category. If you vote more than that ALL of your votes will be discounted in the final tally.

2-This program does not participate in 'ship' wars or other nonsense things, as such, this program does not condone the practice of VOTING AGAINST one person simply because you don't like them. If you cannot VOTE FOR someone, please don't vote at all as this unsportsmanlike, mean and unfair to all nominees.  If you are caught doing this all of your votes will be discounted in the final tally.

Lastly, if the incredibly high volume of traffic keeps up--and we hope it does--we will have to close voting early to avoid being kicked off of this server.  We feel it's too late in the process to open on another host but if we do this again next year (and we probably will) we will either have to link two or more free sites together to solve the traffic problem or get space on another server.
