Grabbing His Cane

I actually thought the same thing. I was thinking back to One Day One Room to what he told Eve about the ice baths and being made to sleep outside. I know some people believe he was lying but I for one don't and wonder what affect that abuse at the hands of his father had on his mental health. The deleted scene and him talking to his dad was all well and good but if he didn't address his feelings regarding the abuse then what is this going to accomplish? I too wish the show would address some of the issues they themselfs have thrown out there over the past few years to have it make more sense to us. Just my thoughts :)
