This might be old news for those who have been in the fandom for a while, but I'm a newbie and a friend pointed me out  this interview with executive producer Katie Jacobs.

I find this part quite adorable:

"I should say that Robert refers to House and Wilson’s relationship as Tigger and Pooh."

With House as Pooh?

"I think so. But he’s more of an Eeyore character."

LOL! XD  For me Wilson is more like Pooh, but House is not like Tigger,  at all!  He's more like Rabbit, all grumpy. =P

Rabbit wasn't grumpy. Rabbit just had a lot of friends and relations.

Eeyore was definitely a pessimist (especially when he lost his tail).

But House as Pooh: The diagnostician of very little brain?

Hmmm. Methinks I need a bit of malt to think about that - cos tiggers don't like haycorns, or thistles, but they love malt.

When I was a kid I made my mother buy a tin of malt and we had it for about twenty years. Dang fine stuff on ice cream - and good for tiggers too.

Aww, that's adorable^^ I would probably use two different characters to compare them to (Holmes/Watson aside,) but that's really cute^^ Although, I would think that House would be Tigger, not Pooh. House jumps out at Wilson like Tigger does with Pooh, and Wilson/Pooh always tolerate it.

That was my thinking as well. To me, when I remember watching Winnie the Pooh with my nephews was that Tigger was always annoying everyone else, Pooh would sigh and basically react just like Wilson.

Of course, that's been a while since I've actually watched it, but I feel that while House isn't as over reactive as Tigger, he grates on everyone's nerves like the stuffed tiger did, and there was someone who always would be around if he needed them to.

Wilson is Pooh. Everybody agrees he's a big, fluffy teddy bear!

Pooh likes to Philosophize. But that, I think, Could apply to either of the characters.

NO NO NO. Rabbit was neurotic and effete and was all "A PLACE FOR EVERYTHING, AND EVERYTHING IN ITS PLACE". Wilson is Poohish (ew), but he has a lot of Rabbit in him, too (EWWWWWW). House could not be LESS Rabbit. He's like Eeyore on speed--everything's awful, but he's going to pounce on people Tigger-style (ew) and get his yucks in all the same (ewwww).

Listen, I've spent ENTIRELY TOO MUCH TIME IN MY LIFE casting people into Winnie-the-Pooh-archetypes. My mom is Rabbit. I am Eeyore. My best friend is Tigger, except a Tigger who takes a lot of pills that they shouldn't be taking. LOLOLOLOLOL I WILL STOP NOW.

I just love Winnie the Pooh in general, so this was just one big "awww."

But Wilson is definitely more of a Pooh, I think.

Moral of the Story: Any amount of discussion of Winnie the Pooh characters in the House fandom is Very Very Bad. Sorry, RSL.

When I first read your comment, I wad hoping that your link would lead to hilarious tigger/pooh crossover house/wilson slash or something absurd like that...

"Wilson could be Piglet...," she offered weakly. "But who would be Owl?"

I think they're Calvin and Hobbes, personally, but I can't decide which one is which.
