Anybody see House flopping around in his bathroom like a fish on dry land? I wonder if that does anything to instigate what happens between House and Cuddy. Wonder if that's what make House think something happens between House and Cuddy.
The way he says 'I always want to kiss you' seems... odd to me. He isn't usually that honest, unless he's saying it sarcastically. He's saying it far too analytically.
I'm instantly brought to the idea of how House got out of his hallucination in 'NO REASON'. He's probably sure that Cuddy wants nothing to do with him right now- she's got a kid, he's off his rocker. In order to get out of his most current hallucination, he goes to do the most unlikely thing yet- bang his boss. XD
Of course, this isn't just your normal, everyday hallucination, and eventually even House is convinced that it's real by the end of it. Of course, this leads to awkwardness in the finale, followed by a very concerned Wilson and Cuddy and buttsex straight jackets.
I have to agree with you. Its the 'I always want to kiss you' thats making me doubt what is actually going to happen in the next two episodes. That and his current sanity status. Even if it is real... who waits until someone is questioning their sanity to get them into bed?*
This is why I hate watching promo vids!
*Not an anti-Huddy comment, just wondering if thats another thing that could hint that its something other than the promo tells.
Me too! Unfortunately I have work early in the morning so I have to wait until about 8pm my time on Tuesday to watch it. Dammmit, I need to move continents!
I do end up thinking about it all day. I get excited and start squeeing at all my workmates, who all just stare at me blankly. *sighs* The things we do for love...
word! a) Cuddy is that desperate and b) I hope it's a hallucination. Of course, it could be to all non-Huddy shippers benefit if it does actually happen because that means their luuuuuvfest happened while House was going insane and totally out of touch with reality.
THe man's off his rocker - he could very well be imagining it's Wilson's lips he's kissing and Wilson's shirt he's ripping off. Cuddy was just a convenient substitute. :)
I think House is going to make himself have a seizure or something. Take medication and make his brain implode. :| cause he's an idiot. But he's desperate. In one promo at least, Cuddy goes "NO." and you see House on the bathroom floor.
House is trying to get Amber out of his head so he's like "WELP. WHY NOT THIS MIGHT WORK. *SEX* .......O DAMN DIDN'T WORK *OD'S ON MEDICINE*"
I guess the Global promo still is up anywhere? I've been searching but nothing yet. I still really want to see that one, it is supposed to be totally different than this one.
It's so funny really to see all the Huddies squeeing. I certainly would not want House and Wilson having sex because House is loosing his mind. I would want to see it happen after a long lovely dinner (of junk food of course) with romantic music playing, not just because of whatever fucked up thing is going on in House's messed up brain.
Noooo, it has to exist.... Supposedly there is at least one awesome H/W clip in it. If it doesn't exist that means the episode will be all Huddy? Nooooooooo......
I will keep believing, and keep hoping it finally gets posted someplace. At least before the actual episode on Monday.
Have you seen these clips: http://spoilertv-house.blogspot.com/2009/04/episode-523-under-my-skin-3-sneak-peeks.html ? The second one definitly has a nice Wilson moment in it :)
Thanks, I have seen the clips and the second one is very nice. I am glad they released that after, especially after the Huddy promo. At least we know there will be some H/W, thank goodness. :)
It's so funny really to see all the Huddies squeeing. I certainly would not want House and Wilson having sex because House is loosing his mind.
AMEN! I'm a Hameron shipper but new Hilson shipper, and either way I agree. First - House is totally off his rocker. Sex releases endorphins - takes away pain. Much more pleasurable than the cutting he resorted to in "Merry Little Christmas" right? Plus, Cuddy is practically handing herself to him on a silver platter with desire, so why wouldn't he do her if it'll give him a distraction from the pain and make him feel good temporarily?
As a Hameron and Hilson, I'd never want sex to happen in either pairing in this situation. Cuddy is clearly taking advantage of House because she KNOWS he is out of his mind. Apparently this is her way of comforting him, plus she finally gets to live out her fantasies.
That's my only comfort in all of this. The sex is happening under some really messed up circumstances and I don't think it's as meaningful or as intimate as I'd want it to be if I were a Huddy shipper. Basically their ship's climax (no pun intended) is happening while House is hallucinating and detoxing. Yep, love conquers all. ::eyeroll::
I totally agree with you. If I was a Huddy shipper, I would be pissed that it happens like this, and not out of real love and affection and desire. But it is happening like this, cause House is really messed up, which is actually really good for those of us who don't care for Huddy.
Can I possibly propose to you? Or at least declare you my brain twin? Cuz that's exactly how I've been looking at the entire House/Cuddy situation in reference to the events of the last episodes of the season. The circumstances are so damning :|
omg Thank you!! Hahaha. You have NO idea how refreshing it is to hear that fans other than Hameron shippers are feeling the same. I'm a Hameron shipper at heart, but still love House/Wilson. As you can imagine, my ship has pretty much been trampled, stomped on and thrown in the garbage this season with the Huddy and Chameron.
But so many people think it's just jealous Hameron fans who are sick of Cuddy and they call us morons. I'm so glad that other people out there who aren't blind enough to NOT see how dragged out and over emphasized the Huddy storyline has been done. The show used to be a medical drama - now it's a medical soap. A lot of people watch the show (or used to watch the show - I know lots who've stopped) for the medicine and the subtle connections and subtext between House and the other characters, esp. Wilson and Cuddy. The subtlety made it great - interesting, left things open to the imagination, and left you wondering and intrigued.
Not to bash the Huddy ship, but the blatant, conspicuous moments between House and Cuddy that have been designed to specifically and deliberately force this ship has become nauseating. I liked House as a show before I became a Hameron shipper. And while House always made sexual jokes and comments with Cuddy, I never minded them before because they were like brother and sister and both strong people who could take each other's jabs. But in order to push the Huddy, they have made her so pathetic and have forced their "relationship" into every possible scene and even use the PoTW as a catalyst or springboard for Huddy interaction.
Even if House never got with Cameron or Wilson, I'd still watch the show if there was no other romance drama going on. Because I used to watch for the medicine, but now the medicine has taken a back seat to the personal relationship storylines of mostly Cuddy but also Foreteen. I can sort of forgive the Chameron storylines because that's pretty much the only screentime Cameron and Chase have been getting and I won't deny them that even though I don't like them in a relationship.
I don't want any relationships. I want Seasons 1 and 2 collegues/employees/bosses started screwing each other. Because once characters start hooking up, there is always going to be drama and it will go back and forth between good and bad and falling to the floor like a ping pong ball.
Sorry for my rant - just so happy to see other people annoyed by what Huddy has done to the show this year.
lmao, you don't have to apologize, for your rantiness is quite warranted and appreciated :D
It's not just you; there's a lot of Huddy shippers that have been blinding by glimpses of the ~promised land, and I really do wonder what it is exactly that makes them think House is in it for anything but physicality.
Beside that, of course, is the way Cuddy's personality has been MIA since somewhere in season 3 (some would argue season 2). But no, how dare I question her and House's true love. Clearly, him yelling that she would suck as a mother is a sign. Inappropriately grabbing her boob is adorable and not at all a sickening lack of respect for her as a woman and as a superior within the hospital.
Not to bash the Huddy ship, but the blatant, conspicuous moments between House and Cuddy that have been designed to specifically and deliberately force this ship has become nauseating.
That's it exactly: the handling of the ~tension and (lack of) development of the relationship has been hamfisted at best and bereft of all semblance of subtlety and meaning. If their relationship was half as snarky and even as it was early in the show, I might be on board with the ship, but as it is now, it's just sad and desperate and all sorts of wrong.
The shift from the medicine to the character storylines can be another argument for another day, but suffice to say that's been one of the most damaging shifts in the show, and that, combined with the Huddy subplot, is the main reason why I've lost interest. I couldn't care less if House and Wilson ever got together (because chances are lolNO, Fox channel), as long as I had subtext to keep me a happy bunny ^__^
So, basically, yes, to everything :) You are epic win, my friend.
Thanks for making my feelings feel validated! I agree with everything you said. I miss the subtlety and subtext that gave us the freedom to imagine and read between the lines however we desired depending on ship preference. Now, it's difficult to have that freedom when one ship is being pushed so forcefully to become canon.
I agree, the switch to character storylines is the main reason I've lost interest, and that all started when the original ducklings left. I have yet to feel any interest or appeal for the new ones, except for Kutner who I found the most interesting and now he is gone. It seems their only way to bring Cameron and Chase back is to have all their scenes be in reference to them as a couple, rather than doctors.
The only reason I'll be downloading tomorrow's ep after it airs is to watch the House/Wilson scenes. Because the promo with Amber is made of WIN! I love that - even though she dated Wilson - she is telling House "He cares about you, you care about him, tell him you love him." I just wish Wilson were playing a larger role in this "House going off the deep end" storyline. Then again, how many times have we been through these "House going off the deep end" storylines before? And everytime, House never changes and things revert to the way they were.
