Hello all! (This is a question with spoilers for tonights episode. Cut to be safe.)

"Gregory House, Will you marry me?"
So, do you guys think House will say yes or no to Wilson's proposal?
He may say yes to keep up the game/act, or he may say no because he now loves (insert neighbors name here).

So, go ahead and state your opinion and tell us why or why not. :D

If this isn't allowed, feel free to delete.

I think House will have his episode epiphany before he answers because in one of the promos we see him in his office in his "date" clothes. Of course my hope is that he stands up, goes to Wilson, says yes and plants a big wet one on him before turning to go to the hopital, leaving a stunned Wilson and smiling neighbor behind. Of course that's my dream but probably won't happen :)

I see the scene going like this:

Wilson and Girl Neighbor are supposed to go out for a date at the restaurant. Somehow House gets hold of that info and gets there like half hour earlier. Wilson comes first and sees him there, goes all like "I knew you'd be like this" yadda yadda, the usual. House says something like "You can't excape me, haha, you are cursed to have me all through your life, whatever" And then AS A JOKE, Wilson goes and does it "Gregory House, will you marry me?" And they get into one of their usual talks when they analyse each other and somewhere near the end of The Talk, House gets an epiphany for the case he's working on, or The Girl Neighbor comes in, he cracks a joke/insult and goes away.

I have a bad feeling it will all blow away as a joke. WHICH WILL MAKE ME SAD.

Tep. It's Wilson so it's definitely planned and given that the object of his affection is House, you can dollars to donuts House already knows about the ring :)

Hi! Let me delurk and give my unoriginal opinion. I can totally picture House saying yes and going all teary-eyed just to further piss Wilson off. But I somehow think the writers will prevent it from happening, with a House epiphany like you two said... And it'll make me saaaaaaaaad. But it'll still be an epic episode!

Now I think it's the ring(patient is allergic to rings of all kinds)/bended knee(patient has no knee and they didn't notice) which will give House his epiphany, leaving Wilson kneeling in front of an empty chair. I don't think there'll be any reply whatsoever - one of those 'if you're happy, I'm....' sort of things.

Either that, or House goes 'Huh' and pushes Wilson over.

You have no idea how hard I laughed at "Patient has no knee and they didn't notice".

Or he'll say yes, and they'll finally admit how passionately in love they really are...

Hey, I can dream, right? ;)

I fear it will be as people say; the epiphany moment. Although I suppose they'll have to talk it over a little, unless the neighbour is going to be a regular. They'll need to sort out who is going to 'have her'. Unless she decides that they obviously only have eyes for each other, and tells them both where to go. My guess is the ep will end with on the sofa together, watching TV, the subtext being; they're basically already married.

But I would explode with joy if they just kissed and got it over with. Serious. Would actually explode.

I SO called it! The song that Wilson was singing just set it off, I thought: "You'll never be lonely with you know who..." :). Mind you, it didn't feel all that epic in terms of Hilson to me. I thought Wilson was a better ep for that. It was just the boys being the boys in this episode. But, still. I enjoyed it and was glad it was back after the break.

He can't say no or just leave, and here's why:

If he either refuses or leaves without saying yes, the woman will be all over Wilson, comforting him. And House can't have that.

Actually, this is a win-win for Wilson. He's counting on either getting to humiliate House, or to score some pity sex date.

Ooh, I hope you're right! Everyone else's comments are really starting to worry me. :( House better not lose this game of gay chicken.

Ahh! Yes. No. But Wilson doesn't get turned on by getting comforted, just by being the comforter!
And humiliation is never a thing Wilson would do to House.

Wilson is capable of humiliating House. I don't believe he will do it, but he's capable of it certainly.
The part I wanted already happened. So anything extra will excite me to no end.

I think House will say yes just to screw with Wilson.

capable...of course. Everyone can be a bitch. But he won't. Big difference there.

My own personal thought is that he will somehow say yes, just to keep the game going, but my husband has a more elaborate idea. For the record, he is generally the anti-hilson, but he’s gotten into the speculation on this episode. He said he thinks House will say yes, but put on a whole teary-eyed show about not being able to have Wilson’s baby, thus indicating that their interest in the neighbor is purely for reproduction. That scares the neighbor off and explains why she’s only in the one episode. What do y’all think? :)

I like the way your husband thinks!

Basically, there's no option that can't result in awesome.

Heh. In my wildest dreams, the writing staff gets tired of the obligatory H/W cocktease scenes in each episode. One day, House, after a wilson!epiphany, just grabs him and they start making out and my TV along with my brain explodes in a ball of sparks and fire.

I see this as simply adding to the huge game of one-upmanship between the two of them. In my hopes, House says yes, and then Wilson does something outrageous, house does something in retaliation, etc.
eventually, they end up having one of their lovely chit-chats where House ends up with an epiphany, and Wilson looks after him a bit like a lost puppy because, not-so-secretly he fucking loves bantering with House.

The plot is so predictable. To prove that they're not gay Wilson and House go on a double date with their neighbor, where Wilson is planning to give her a ring. But when something goes wrong, Wilson gives the ring to House instead to not be embarrassed. house will have an epiphany and answer in a very non romantic way. I hate it, but there will probably not be much shippy for us about this episode.

I shall refrain from any speculation, because I want to remain neutral as to what happens. That way, it won't exceed my expectations nor will it disappoint me.
