Same here. I apparently slept all through the bulk of the brouhaha. Then I woke up, went "Doot dee dooo, checkin' LJ for some aweso. . . oh . . . OH . . . ennnh, seriously?"

Fandom's a lot like family: there are people you don't mind being seen in public with; there are people you'd rather leave at home; there are people you don't invite to family gatherings; then there's that awesome aunt who always gives you GREAT birthday presents.

I have no idea what prompted her comment (I don't do Twitter) but I can definitely agree.

Ship wars caused me to leave the Potter fandom. And I wasn't even in the thick of it. Thank God I hate Twilight, because I'm sure the ship wars there are horrendous.

I live with huddies, and I get along fine with them. Why can't Hilsons and Huddies just agree to disagree? I mean, we all know Huddy's going to happen eventually so what's with all the hate tweets?

Don't quote me on this, but I think there were some Huddy people sending Doris 'hate-tweets.' I don't know why and I don't really care cause I *try* to stay out of all that stuff but it just makes me sad, and I feel some serious second hand embarrassment because it's those people who give fandom a bad name when the majority of people are just having fun.

I don't understand why they would send hate tweets. When St. Doris tweeted about RSL, Ausiello's spoiler was already out that there would be Huddy sex before S6 ends. Then there was an earlier spoiler that they would be doing Huddy for S7.

Yeah, I figured it was the huddies since they were directed at Doris and she seems hilson-friendly. I meant I don't understand why the huddies are upset since we know Huddy will happen eventually.

I, too, feel shame whenever fans act out like that because it makes the entire fandom looks insane. Most of us just wanna have fun, but then some people have to take it too seriously and ruin it for everyone.

What happened was Doris made a comment about making RSL work late.

Then a few people (who ship Huddy) started sending her hate tweets because they felt that there wasn't enough Huddy in the episode or something.

That's what happened. I think it's disgusting (what they did).

It wasn't a shipping war. It was a few idiots acting like idiots towards the writer of a show that they claim that they like.

That is so incredibly rude. It's fans like that who take it too far that embarrass me. I've nothing against huddy or huddy fans; I just don't like fans like that--no matter WHAT they ship.

I think the hate isn't about Wilson's screentime it's about a spoiler that has been leaked and because some people can't figure out that it's just a tv show and not real life, they have been sending hate mail to St Doris, which is funny because Doris didn't write the episode that the thing that these "Fans" are unhappy with happens.

What I am referring to is that it is Rumoured that in episode 21 Wilson asks House to move out so that Sam can move in and this causes House to go back to his bad ways. This is the only logical reason, I can think of why there are Wilson haters out there.

But wouldn't that make Huddies happy? It means in a sense House and Wilson are separating for awhile. I am really unhappy that House will be moving out but I will have WAM, H/W and sweet & sour HAM to keep me happy :)
