I heard Fox was considering it. We've had music-related episodes of House before (the one with the sax musician in S1, the one with Dave Matthews as a pianist in S3, the one with the 'punk' rocker who used to be a folk singer in S4), so I'm hopeful this one will be OK and not cheesy.

And don't forget the end of Broken, that was kinda musical too :D

Yeah, I heard rumors a while ago, and I think it sounds pretty cool (although not all that unusual because all of those shows except Fringe have already included singing and music stuff in various episodes).

We already know that there's going to be a House episode with karaoke, so I'm assuming Fox did officially decide to do it.

such a good fic. i've reread (and yes, re-sang) the fic often enough that there's a couple of buffy songs now which are actually h/w in my head. i'll never tell, is a good one ;)

Thanks so much for the compliment! (To those interested, I also have it posted on FF.N, in what is--in my opinion--a more easily readable screenplay format: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5215439/1/DDX_With_Feeling.)

I'd love to see a canon musical, but short of some fundraiser or similar wherein all the departments are forced to do some sort of performance, I don't see how it could be done without some serious genre modifications.

i had harboured serious thoughts of faking both a terminal illness and ten years off my age in order to get the make a wish foundation ask the house team to record this for me as my dying wish..... i love it that much.

Hmmm not a fan of Jesse Spencer or Omar Epps so this is not music to my ears. I'm sure I'll enjoy the one and only time I watch it.

Isn't it just House, Foreman and Chase doing karaoke?

To be honest, why?

It is - it's a theme month of shows featuring music, not actual full-musical episodes. I think House spends time with his team in ep 20 because he's unhappy about Wilson/Sam, iirc.

Sort of makes sense, but at the same time seems a little un-House like. In any case, I prefer the transvestite method of coping :D but if karaoke turns out to be good I won't complain. It just seems out and out random.

A musical episode has high potential for delicious RSL humiliation and exploitation. I'm all for it.

Jim!

Musical ep? No, thanks. Karaoke is...tolerable. Finger, meet ear.

There's a short article on this--and a small photo of House and Foreman singing from this episode in the latest TV GUIDE. Boggle. I'm not a big fan of musical episodes either--not in dramas, anyway.

I'm not sure about this. In "Scrubs" it was ok because "Scrubs" is just the type of show where the cheese factor worked. And not that there aren't lighter moments in "House"- but still... And I honestly just *Can't* see Foreman singing unless somehow his job was at stake (possibly not even then).

If there is singing, I hope RSL sings! :D
He has a wonderful singing voice and it would be a crime for FOX to not air him singing.
