Date: 2012-04-26 04:09 am (UTC)RE Jacket: We did once see Wilson come into the hospital (season 4 with the Survivor arc) to talk to the candidates and he had a dorky jacket. probably after House electrocuted himself. It MIGHT of been the same as this one here which might mean they have the same coat or that the wardrobe department has a slim budget. But i don't actually recall exactly if that jacket was the same, it could have been different. Unfortunate I don't have that episode on hand to check.

Date: 2012-04-26 04:35 am (UTC)After reading KL's list of episode names, the bus stop gets me a little nervous. It reminds me of her title, "Waiting for Thymo" as in, Waiting for Godot. The bus is indeed symbolic in Houseland. I really don't think Wilson is dead, and I prefer that he be alive for the finale, but tptb have done a good job preventing any leakage. I'm going in circles trying to figure it out.

Date: 2012-04-26 04:53 am (UTC)What the heck is with all the Julie Christie references? That is what we should be asking ourselves. There are a ton of them ont he board.
From what I understand she is RSL's favorite actress or something like that? Does she have a role in this episode? Is it a cameo maybe? Is this some sort of Wilsonsonian bucket list? The writers could be giving Wilson an RSL interest, the way they use HLs music and jugging for House? Maybe they go to Cleveland to see her somehow?
It would be just like House to drag Wilson onto a Greyhound bus to go 1/3 of the way across the country and not tell him why or pack him any suitcase only to surprise him at the end with something he always wanted to do but never actually went and did. Okay, that is probably much more fanfiction!House than canon!House, but it is the best my brain can come up with right now that is not horribly sad.
I could swear we saw Wilson in a that jacket before. Remember when House and Amber discussed custody with Cuddy in "No More Mr. Nice Guy," and Wilson stood near the doors? I'm pretty sure he was wearing it then.
Yep, another season 4 episode. I think that was Wilson's jacket in season 4. Maybe they just share the stuff in wardrobe and they needed a jacket? it might not mean anything, though I prefer to imagine it means they have been sharing clothes for years following their occasional

Date: 2012-04-26 05:20 am (UTC)I do think the writers like to add in the actor's interest. For instance, take RSL's 80s references. Of course, this might have something to do with the POTW.
I'm thinking Cleveland is a metaphor for limbo also. It's not considered a vacation destination, but rather a place people need travel for business or family.
it means they have been sharing clothes for years following their occasional
secret love festevenings together.Well, of course! When House moved in with Wilson in season 6 and did his laundry, wasn't he wearing Wilson's socks? Tptb leave out the best parts. *pouts*
OT: In 8x19 There's a nice parallel between HW and the POTW. House takes care of Wilson, who is almost family, and the POTW's mother is a her doctor.

You may be right. I have heard the use of the city "Cleveland" to mean "the middle of nowhere" or "a place best forgotten about" (though I understand it is actually a pretty good city nowadays). So the reference could be 'Cleveland' in a metaphorical sense, someplace Wilson doesn't really want to go. Or a type of Llmbo.
