RSL had a happy birthday here on set. His father spent the day with him and sus & bryan got him a huge choc cake, we sang HB, he ws Mbrsd :)

I wonder if his dad was there when he specifically shot that last scene. Obviously it's all (great) acting, but hearing the words "I have cancer" come out of your son's mouth has got to be tough to watch.

So Nurse Jeffrey was onb the set whule they were shooting 818? Does that mean they were shooting scenes from 3 eps 818, 819, and 820- PP is in eps 820 and 821, which really worries me that Wilsonm dies at the end of 821. Of course I vacillate on whether Wilson actually dies because I just can't accept that is something DS would do to us.

I think that Patrick Price was on the set of ep 18 as stand-in and not as actor.
On twitter I 've read nurse jeffrey will be just in ep 19.

A stand-in for film and television is a person who substitutes for the actor before filming, for technical purposes such as lighting.

I think Wilson will be alive and present till the end of finale. I don't think we'll see the After-Wilson (blasphemous to even think about it, I know!). But my guess is that he'll have a terminal prognosis at the end, we'll leave them knowing he'll die soon.

I know! But I am confident that he does not have to 'die' on screen for it to be heartbreaking. I would say that it can be even more hear wrenching to see him do the pre-dying phase, than the dying-moment.
