Wilson has two "types" he goes for:

Needy, hurting, requires some kind of rescue and care. Wives, Grace.

Bulldozers who will force him to do things he otherwise wouldn't. Amber, Tucker (for as long as that lasted).

House is a needy, hungry bulldozer who also happens to adore Wilson. He might as well be kryptonite.

One hopes that once they road off into the sunset together, Wilson finally let go of his "picket fence" fantasies and saw that he had everything he needed in House.
