NOTE: So I’m thinking that I might be able to get a chapter out every two weeks at most—it’s a little bit optimistic, but I think I can pull it off. I’ll try to post every other Sunday night, but if I run a little late or have to shift around the schedule, it’s because I’m doing scenes and writing papers and designing sets left and right. Know for sure that this is not going to be one of those WIPs that winds up on an indefinite hiatus.
Any views expressed in this story are not my own. This story is dark. Wilson's motives are confused, not particularly selfless, and definitely a bit uncomfortable to read. Also, House is in jail right now and will be out of commission for a few chapters (although he definitely is a huge part of Wilson's mental issues, so it's not like he's ignored). As such, meet OCs. They’ll be around from now on, floating in and out of the story as time goes on.

NECESSARILY LONG INTRODUCTION: So it turns out that I’m in love with Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy. Just. A. Bit. After a great deal of self-consciousness and struggling with unwillingness to commit to such a long story, I finally decided to write and post this baby. Yes.
You don’t need to read Inferno to get this, because while I will be making allusions to the original text, it’s still just a story about House and Wilson, in which the Tritter plot takes an interesting twist and lots of morally icky stuff happens to Wilson. (Tritterverse? Old school!) I’ll point out some cool stuff at the bottom (for instance, what part of Hell we’re “in”) as well as link you to a couple of things that I think are cool and relevant, like inspirational artwork. And if you have any questions, ask and I’ll answer to the best of my abilities.
One last bit: so between this other six-parter I’m working on for another fandom and the insane amounts of coursework that I know are on the horizon, I’m probably going to be updating sporadically. But hey, I want to make this as concise and enjoyable for you as possible, so please be patient. If you’re, you know, reading this.

NOTE: I had actually started this fic long before seeing “97 Seconds” and That Scene. I ended up having to insert it into my ficverse. Unfortunately, everyone else and their grandmother is also writing about this scene. I feel so unoriginal now! Well, if you’re sick of reading post-ep fics, you might enjoy this one because it isn’t all post-ep, anyway....
I do not have dysthymia, so all I know is what I’ve researched. If you see something fundamentally wrong, you’re welcome to point it out, but I highly doubt that I’d be able to change it.

DISCLAIMER: I don’t own much, and I can tell you that House is definitely not on that short list.
NOTE: OH MY GOD, LEGS, STOP WRITING OTHER STORIES WHEN YOU SHOULD BE WRITING THAT FIRST ONE. Why do my stories end up longer than I originally planned? This is why it takes me A MONTH such a long time to write them. I already don’t have a lot of time to write, and on top of that it’s just so damn long.

NOTE: This isn’t actually my first House!fic. My first is rather long and epic and isn't done yet. This came as an interlude of the writing process. The worst part is, I had sworn that the other fic (which is/was my first fic in three or four years) would be my only fic. No such luck. Apparently this is a new hobby of mine. And if you’re tired of Five Times fics, deal with it. Dedicated to the crazies at NU who went to my House Parties, but especially Lo, who was excited to know that I was writing not one, but two fics.
