Title: One Noble Function: Cave Spring
Author: Namaste
Summary: House and Wilson on their final road trip. PG, friendship. This chapter, is made up of one drabble, "Night Swimming," and a flash fic, "Underground" of about 650 words. House and Wilson and local nature spots. (The title comes from a real Georgia town, but I just borrowed it and made up the rest.)
Excerpt: "I freely admit that I'm not perfectly versed in the laws of Georgia, but I'm pretty sure skinny dipping is discouraged."

"They also discourage being an accessory to fraud and aiding and abetting a felon, but that hasn't stopped you."

Title: One Noble Function: Savannah
Author: Namaste
Summary: House and Wilson on their final road trip. PG, friendship. This chapter, 700 words. (It was supposed to be part of a drabble series, and demanded its own flash fiction chapter.) Scenes from a diner.
Previous chapters: One Noble Function: Atlantic City, One Noble Function: Washington D.C., One Noble Function: Gettysburg, One Noble Function: Blue Ridge.
Author's Note: My apologies these chapters are taking so long. Lots of busy real world stuff. (I TOTALLY RAN A MARATHON, PEOPLE!)
Excerpt: "It's not about me." Wilson put down the menu. "What if someone knows you?"

"Well, yes. I am world famous. I noticed the paparazzi following us for the last few days."

Title: One Noble Function: Blue Ridge
Author: Namaste
Summary: House and Wilson on their final road trip. PG, friendship. This chapter, 1,300 words. House and Wilson have different rules for finding their way on the road, but they both get where they're going.
Previous chapters: One Noble Function: Atlantic City, One Noble Function: Washington D.C., One Noble Function: Gettysburg

Excerpt: Wilson imagined kneeling in the dark soil, planting tomatoes and beans and peppers. There would be squash for the fall and a fence to try and keep the animals out. He'd end up yelling at House two or three times every week to watch out for the garden whenever he'd drive in too fast, not paying attention. House would put up with the nagging only because Wilson would agree to plant ghost chilis, and let House challenge him into trying to eat one.

Author: Namaste
Summary: House and Wilson on their final road trip. PG, friendship. This chapter, 1,700 words. The road reminds Wilson of places he never went, and places his brother may never go.
Previous chapters: One Noble Function: Atlantic City, One Noble Function: Washington D.C.
Excerpt: Danny had always acted out this part of the story, using his BB gun as a prop, swinging it above his head, then jabbing it in front of him. James usually found himself jumping aside, never really sure if Danny was so lost in the story that he didn't see him standing there.

Title: One Noble Function: Atlantic City
Author:Namaste
Summary House and Wilson on their final road trip. First part of a planned series following them to various sites and moments around the country, beginning in Atlantic City. 1,180 words.
Author's Note: I've some locations and points in time planned out -- and I know how it'll end -- but I'm hoping to let this journey play out much as House and Wilson's and see where the road takes me. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] nightdogbarks, [livejournal.com profile] felisnocturna, [livejournal.com profile] hibernia1 and [livejournal.com profile] 3kelvin for drive-by beta and encouragement.

Title is from Jack Kerouac's "On The Road." "We were all delighted, we all realized we were leaving confusion and nonsense behind and performing our one noble function of the time, move.

Sample: Wilson handed over the cash after he managed to drive the bike the two miles to the local branch. He only stalled it out twice in the parking lot, and another three times at the red lights.

Summary: A drabble collection. Five times House and Wilson spent New Year's Eve apart, and one New Year's Eve together. 600 words, PG, friendship.
Author's Note: Just a little something, because I wanted to start the year with a little writing, even if other things in life seem beyond my control.

Author: Namaste
Summary: House and Wilson try to make a bet on the World Cup. Friendship, fluff. Rated PG. 975 words.
Author's Note: One in a series of stories I've done on House and Wilson hanging out and betting about sports. I have no idea if the characters would actually do this, but I like to think they would.

Sample: “Never done this before, have you?” Kutner asked. “Lost your mind?” He’d moved in closer, out from the corner of the room as if he was getting more comfortable with the setting. “How does it feel?”

Title: Strike Therapy
Author: Namaste
Summary: Why bowling? Because it somehow makes sense, when nothing else does, Wilson thinks. Besides, it's fun. House and Wilson friendship.
Author's Note: Written for the One Hour, One Story challenge/exercise at [livejournal.com profile] housefic_meta. About 1,600 words.

Wilson watched the ball arc up slightly, then begin to drop. He braced himself for the impact, but still winced at the thud that echoed off the walls when the ball made contact with the wood.

Title: Home Plate
Author: Namaste
Summary: What better way to celebrate a renewed friendship than beer, pizza, and the World Series? Well, for House there's always the promise of winning some money off of Wilson. Sports fluff, PG, about 1,280 words. House and Wilson friendship.
Author's Note: Part of my personal canon of House and Wilson betting on sporting events. Only the first inning for this one ('cause even House doesn't want to pile too much suffering on the Rays the way this game is going so far).

"Explain this one more time, and go slowly," Wilson said as he took off his coat. "Why am I betting on Tampa?"

"Because you lost the coin toss."
